Troubleshooting
Click your issue to expand
1Make sure the battery is fully inserted and seated — check the polarity (+/-) matches the label.
2Plug in via USB-C to wall power. The RX is designed to run wall-powered — it should power on immediately.
3If the battery was stored for a long time it may be deeply discharged. Leave it plugged in for 30 minutes before testing again.
4Press the RST button once to reboot the unit.
5Check the USB-C cable — try a different cable if available.

1Check that the battery is inserted and the polarity matches the label inside the compartment.
2Connect via USB-C to charge — let it charge for at least 30 minutes if it's been stored.
3Press the RST button once to boot the unit.
4Try a different USB-C cable if the unit won't charge.
5If the LED blinks but won't hold power, the battery may need replacement. See the Battery add-on in the shop.

1Make sure your phone's WiFi is turned ON and you're connected to your home network — not a hotspot or cellular.
2Press/Hold the User button for 5 Seconds to enter WiFi mode. The RX creates a temporary setup hotspot. Connect your phone to the BoxBinAlert-XXXX network that appears in your WiFi list.
3BoxBinAlert™ only supports 2.4GHz WiFi — not 5GHz. If your router broadcasts both, make sure you connect to the 2.4GHz network.
4Check that your WiFi password has no special characters that might not pass through the setup form correctly.
5When you enter Admin Mode, the LED will be ON/Solid. Remove power or press RST to Exit.
6If setup fails, press RST button to restart the RX and try again.

1Check your spam/junk folder — email from noreply@boxbinalert.com may have been filtered.
2Add noreply@boxbinalert.com to your contacts or safe-senders list.
3Make sure the RX is still connected to WiFi — a router reboot can drop the connection. Check the LED status.
4Verify the TX sensor has battery power and is within range of the RX.
5Log into your dashboard and confirm email alerts are enabled for that TX device.

1Make sure the RX Receiver is near a window — LoRa signals travel better with line of sight.
2Metal objects, thick concrete walls, and large bodies of water can reduce LoRa range. Try repositioning the RX.
3Check the RSSI and SNR values in your dashboard — they show real signal strength per TX device.
4For maximum range, consider the Extended Range Kit — high-gain antennas + 25ft coax cables for both TX and RX.
